Adam Palmer Named One of Phoenix Magazine’s 2025 Top Lawyers

Palmer Law Offices, P.C. is proud to announce that Adam P. Palmer has been named one of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Lawyers of 2025—a peer-selected honor recognizing the most respected and trusted attorneys in the Greater Phoenix area.

This recognition places Adam among the top 10–20% of attorneys in his specialty, Workers’ Compensation Law, as determined by votes from fellow members of the Arizona legal community.

How Phoenix Magazine Selects Its Top Lawyers in 2025

Each year, Phoenix Magazine partners with independent research firm Data Joe to conduct an extensive survey of more than 16,000 active attorneys licensed with the State Bar of Arizona. Participants are asked to nominate up to three peers in 39 areas of legal practice, including one outside their own firm.

The process ensures fairness, transparency, and integrity: nominees are verified to be in good standing with the State Bar, and Phoenix Magazine’s editorial staff confirms each honoree’s credentials before publication. Advertising plays no role in the selection, this list is built purely on the respect of peers and the quality of an attorney’s work.

About Adam Palmer

Adam Palmer has dedicated his nearly four-decade career to fighting for injured workers and their families throughout Arizona. Since founding Palmer Law Offices, P.C. in 2000, Adam has become one of the state’s leading authorities in workers’ compensation, personal injury, and professional negligence litigation.

A native of New York, Adam graduated from Antioch School of Law in 1986, where he served as an editor on the Antioch Law Journal. He began practicing in Arizona in 1987, representing individuals in both civil and administrative courts. Over the years, his advocacy has shaped Arizona case law through several landmark appellate decisions, including Ibarra v. The Industrial Commission of Arizona (2018) and Kromko v. Superior Court (1991).

Adam has been Board Certified in Workers’ Compensation Law by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization since 2009—a distinction held by fewer than five percent of active Arizona attorneys.

In addition to his professional achievements, Adam is deeply committed to his community as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the foster care system and a longtime youth sports coach.

Specialty: Workers’ Compensation
Law School/Year Graduated: Antioch School of Law, 1986
Years in Practice: 38

Was it gratifying when your son joined your firm? Did it take much coaxing?
It was extremely gratifying. Once he decided to go to law school… we both knew that he would come work for me, that I would train him, and that he would eventually take over the firm.

Is there anything about labor law in Arizona – traditions, quirks, etc. – that makes the field more or less challenging?
Workers’ compensation law in Arizona is always advancing. As science and medicine advances, so too must the Workers’ Compensation Act. Arizona recently adopted the [guidelines] that set forth evidence-based science that governs how most types of industrial injuries should be treated and the length of that treatment.

You’re a court-appointed special advocate for children. What drew you to that work? How do you use your legal acumen to advocate for kids?
I read an article about the thousands of children in the foster care system being abused and ignored. I did some research and discovered the CASA organization. Being a trial lawyer, I had the background and experience to evaluate a case, review a court file and make arguments on behalf of my appointed student for their best interests.

Who is your all-time favorite fictional attorney?
Al Pacino as Arthur Kirkland in …And Justice for All.

“If I wasn’t a lawyer, I’d like to be…”
Exotic pet shop owner. Not sexy pets but endangered! [laughs]
